Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Creativity at CVS is dead

CREATIVITY has been dead at CVS for a long, long time. I remember when we celebrated the creativity in this company by displaying it for every manager to see. An exchange of ideas existed for all to utilize. That exchange stimulated our minds and made us want to participate. There were some great unique, creative and inspiring ideas coming from managers in this company. Who has the time and the clarity of mind to be creative anymore. CVS prefers mindless management who looks at pictures someone generates on a computer and copies or better yet they place product in a PDQ so you can open the box and place it on a shelf. Make sure you don’t put shelf #2 on shelf #1 because the DL’s have the pictures to check your work. Don’t you just love it when the individuals, whose only job is to move around those little pictures on a computer can’t even get them to fit properly on a shelf. R.I.P Creativity at CVS

By the way that only applies to merchandising. Creativity is still alive and well at CVS when it comes to finding ways to make themselves look like they actually care about anything but a buck.

Market conditions caused this ???? Just agree that CVS is something much different than it was when Ryan, Rosenthal and Goldstein were in charge. What company do you know of that loses almost half there market value ( $116 to $67) in a couple years while the market was up 40%.. and still has same leaders on the Board.
