Open Letter Invitation to Gisel, John, Doug..RGM's...

Team,

Here is what you really need to do to Save the Company, and because as I write this on behalf of many, I will give you the benefit of assuming however occasionally misguided , you are not intending the wreck the Company. However, let me share with you what all of the CM's , Management Teams, and any of our Associates do know, the enemy is within, it is the Market Managers and their counter parts ! Let me assure you they are not respected, they are not looked to for guidance and Leadership. Why you ask? Because they are incompetent. They could not run Clubs and if they ever have, they are not in real world scenarios. There are a small handful who are professional and respectful. The overwhelming majority are horrible. They are not Leaders, do not possess either the aptitude, or skills to run a Club, much less a Market. They are ignorant of our Core beliefs. They lie. They lie to you, and they lie to the Teams. You cannot go to them with a problem , because they assume you are the problem and most CM's will not go to them unless its absolutely necessary. Too big an issue to hide.

They have no integrity, and they brutalize the Club Teams. They operate by Fear and intimidation.

Here's how you get to the real Truth. Not the lies they fed you. You find a way to talk to Mangers on board, displaced, those who left over a year, maybe two. Ask why turnover could possibly be what it is in some Clubs and some Markets. Talk to the ASM's treated like Pawns. A Market Manager actually used that term referring to the sorting process in a conversation. Because they did not even have the mental capacity or decency to appreciate what was said, the company will dump its pawns out on the table and sort it out.,,!, yup this guy works for you! He represents you! He represents us, our Company. Now get on those Jets, find out who is giving your tail numbers out, the heads up to the Cronies. Come hit the Metro Clubs in the tough Markets. Come see who could deliver and who can execute standards. Be sure you take a good long look at who was assigned where. The history of cronies and incompetents and buds taken care of. People given Fresh jobs with out a days experience or willingness to do much of anything. Look at well rounded experienced people who were not offered opportunity , discarded, Coached for absolute nonsense, unfairly, unevenly , judging a standard for each Club depending on who is running it. Team, we All Know this true, why don't you?

Look at the MM with high turnover poor execution scores, MX Voices, daily standards and process .

Do visit them with extreme prejudice you will not believe how awful conditions are,mw hen they have no clue your coming . They are the very problem in the company. Look at their teams building Clubs at remained badly run again and again. I trust you will figure it quick. Because if you don't they will destroy your credibility, and wreck what is left of Sam's Club. You are the only people to save our Club Teams, Members and Associates from these people. You will deal with them, quickly and their incompetent minions. Remember Metro Clubs, Complex Markets. You will find they are truly a disgrace to the Position , provide nothing to the Teams, and are a disgrace to the great accompany we could be ! I hope you are taking this to heart , and go get them out of position. Before we do not have a Company left to save!

What happened to this. Where did everyone go that said they wouldn’t stand up for the treatment they are subjected to by the market managers? How many of you called the ethics hotline and opened a case on your market manager? .

Don’t let this go .. we are 587 strong and we can be a voice ...

Do all of you really think they care what anyone has to say. CM's are scared they will lose there jobs if they actually speak there minds and that's a fact. Not one CM will say anything and the ones that did are the ones that got displaced or a better term is terminated. The days of the beliefs of Sam Walton are long gone. My CM can't even go on vacation without having to come to the club at least once while on vacation.

I agree .. you need to start calling these market managers out by name and put them on notice . If they delete this post we will keep replacing it . It’s very easy to copy and paste all over again .

Call these guys out as the need to feel guilty and know that we won’t stand for it anymore ..

You want to turn up the heat? Contact the media. Associates were left in the dark when the mass firings went down. Displaced, no lets call it what it really is.. fired managers do not want to risk speaking out and losing their severance. I have not heard one word about this on any news station or social media. The threats are real. You come on here anonymously and obviously know details or have personally been affected by this. Why don't you set the stage and and contact the media. You can do that anonymously, too. This company sickens me with its greed and careless life altering snap decisions. I'm sorry this happened to you and all the other managers involved. The majority of it was based on seniority and the long term tenure. Now, Clubs are left with useless managers that have no idea the simple beliefs Sam Walton lived by and created this business. Voice the truth and be heard. Be the example we've all been waiting for. We are all depending on you.

Fellow club managers,

As you read each of these post I can’t help but understand that this problem stretches farther than just one market manager or one region. This a huge issue that each of us play a part in and with that said each of us has to bond together. We have to stand together and call or email these post .

How many times are you going to allow this type of behavior to continue. The club managers that were displaced could have been you. You could have been the one that got held accountable for inconsistent standards. It could have been you that was targeted and released all because the market manager failed you.

Each of us have our opportunities to improve but isn’t it our market managers that are suppose to develop and inspire us just like we are to motivate and inspire our teams. I haven’t been inspired by my market manager in years. I haven’t been motivated by his sarcastic comments, his inconsistency in standards,visits. I haven’t been motivated by his lack of professionalism, his horrible conference calls,.

Remember if you do nothing. You might be the next one on his or her list . It might be you that gets displaced and you will have to sit back and say “ I should have called ethics and joined my brothers and sisters. I should have done something and maybe I wouldn’t be released ..

Stand up and call or email .. let’s turn up the heat

Seriously how many of you actually did something about this today after your flights home ? This has to be a united front as the more people either the letter in or discuss the topics of these post with a hr person , nothing is going to change .

The market managers will continue doing the same things . They will contuine to belittle, use fear , coachings, text you at all hours , say one things and then forget they said it , unless something is done.

We are counting on all 587 clubs to call the ethics hotline, call your hr , call your regional , email doug, etc. do something.. if you don’t feel like you can .. call ethics unanimously..

Don't forget to mention they can only visit one club carefully. Because the market team, Cm's and so on inform one another when there are visits. One club gets a visit and all clubs in the area know and start their big freak outs. They call people in and start trying to make the place look nice just in case they're the next one visited.

It’s time to start calling these market managers out. Call them out on this , call them out by sending emails to the regionals , senior executives, call the ethics hotline.. do something to bring them into the light.

Every single comment on this post is dead on. Cm will not push back due the market manager . The mm turns everything around and says the cm is excuse driven.

Let’s all stand up and expose these arrogant, belittling, aggressive people,that use fear instead of motivation done the right way

It would be nice if HO would come into our club and see how it is being ran, with no help! Let them hear that HO is in our area then all hell breaks loose. We have to run and clean straighten everything in a hurry. Put on a smiley face and act like everything is perfect. They cut our hours, members are constantly complaining because we have no help in our Club. Sad thing is no one seems to care its all about making out schedules and getting the little graph where it needs to be even if it means no help in the Club. This is getting more and more ridiculous. Tired of the rat race!!!

Dead on!! Come visit these Clubs folks, they don’t know what nights or weekends are like. Come wake them up, call them up make them come meet you in the Clubs you visit. Ask the last time they visited Clubs on Saturday nights, worked a full day, when they don’t leave by 2 PM . Majority of our business Friday , Sat, Sunday’s weekends and nights, and they are nowhere to be found, you will not be happy with what you find! Don’t kill the Clubs ask why conditions are what they are, they will talk to you if they can trust you.

Along with The chairman and Board of Directors. No more being ghosts call these people out by name. Take a stand not be treated like trash, or intimidated by these sadists for the sake of all of us, associates and especially the Management Teams. They treat us like dogs, the ASMs GMs alike. Unless you're a fave or crony. They count on fear , no has the guts to take them on so it gets worse and they feel empowered. They need a thorough vetting, and need to go . Their are the problem, all that's necessary is for good folks to stand up to them . They are bullies, and they are incompetent as the writer suggests.

Everyone that reads this open letter should print it out and mail or email it to Doug, John,Gisel,David and every other executive .

Market managers are the biggest problem in the company. It’s time we stand up for ourselves and fight back against some of these people that rule by fear.
