Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Poorly manage company....

Brcm saw an opportunity. 10th floor of bldg N picks fight with Apple, while Huawei follows (which is what Chinese company's do - copy), all while you have regulatory issues that just never end ( lisc model not sustainable). Add to that Qcom spends way too much money (remember holiday parties at the Hyatt Manchester and not to mention JTs moonshots?),and you have a depressed stock due to a variety of issued and then Hock Tan. Good night Irene.... Paul Jacobs should be ashamed. They all left when it started to get tuff. It really is a sad sad story. Maybe it all works out but Qcom needs to cut 30% of expenses immediately, which is what will happen in April. BTW Nxp will never close, too expense.

Q can win the shareholder meeting in April if they announce a convincing opex cut. If this logic is true then Q must announce in March the layoff numbers. Since 1 billion$ cost reduction is promised in January, there could be huge, huge layoffs.

Because of political dimension of AVGO-QCOM, China MOFCOM can delay its approval until April shareholder meeting.

No matter if China approves or not both companies will run layoffs. NXP as well because they bought Freescale in 2015 and they didnt do anything. Everything is planned. Q and N waiting for China MOFCOM decision, shareholder meeting beginning April.

Qcom - NXP acquisition must finish until 25th of April.

Be patient until end of April guys.
