Mistakes in pharmacy?

Does anyone else notice more mistakes by our pharmacies lately? There are a few I know saying they have made double digit amounts and these rpm use to only make them once in awhile.

It’s a combination of many things , increased work load , cut in rph and tech hours, etc. How can a pharmacist not worry about making med errors in this environment. It’s horrible conditions and the stress in putting extra hours just to complete daily tasks. The morale in my store is at a all time low. The company abuses its pharmacist and techs. Horrible place to work .

Definitely! Less hours and more volume. WeCare scores are low across the entire district. It s---s, some days it so bad makes you just want to just stop even trying to keep up. There is just no way to keep up. So many non-work flow things to get done like, expires, checking the hub, email, action plans, ov returns, warehouse returns, conference calls, modules, scheduling, etc!

That’s a function of volume vs trained staff. Can’t do double the script volume with new staff.
