Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Oh, this is priceless

"Broadcom has promised not to sell critical national security assets to foreign buyers if its deal to buy chipmaker Qualcomm is approved."

In other news, sharks promised they would not bite swimmers if they swim in shark infested waters and bank robbers promised they would not rob banks if they are given access to vaults.

Tan is merely a layoff expert, not an R&D expert. I don't trust his wording. Don't forget that Tan mentioned he will walk away if QCOM change the bid to NXP. But that turned out to be a joke in the end. Tan can promise whatever now, and will change whenever.

OP doesn't realize that 99.9% of ALL wired internet packets pass through some switching, routing or access silicon created by BRCM or that most of the WiFi traffic goes through BRCM HW. Keep dreaming, the only defense for us is govt. intervention.
