Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Can we go back to innovating?

Just wondering. This is obviously not working. We actually used to be leaders in the field, and look at us now. So can we please go back to innovating?

Dell only believes in cost reduction and moving work to China and India. The result is there for all to see. Just automation doing mindless mechanical work.

if you have an array of management made out of family and friends promoting each other and highly incompetent. There is no way they can appreciate talent let alome innovation. One person carries a team here everywhere from top to bottom. Dell is full of fatass dead weights.

Forget innovation. This is the philosophy of people working in Dell. Most people work just hard enough not to get fired and get paid just enough not to quit.

Dell has never been an innovator. I spent 15 years working for Dell and never saw a truly innovative product that they could sell to anyone. Their strength was in supply chain management, and the only focus on innovation was in copying other companies designs.
