Company does not want us to"pile" un-boxed product on top of boxed product. Keeps product from getting smashed. We have done this before. They think it will improve damages. It won't. Damages will only get better when we start getting better quality of product into the clubs. instead we get a lot of other grocery stores left overs at a discounted price. Like they told us a few years ago not to re work product, that did not last long. We have to rework oranges before we can put them on the sales floor.

So you set up your tomato, apple, citrus run. Fill it all up. Members shop it down. It looks terrible throughout the day unless you can keep replacing boxes. Should we have a giant stock pile of replacement boxes in the steel? You may not get the boxes you need the next day to fix it. Members take all the tomato boxes - we don’t get that many new ones the next day to fix it all. This is crazy. We have to be allowed to put layers on top. Our boxes are set up on steel not pallets. Didn’t anyone think about this????????????

You should know by now this company is run by people with no common sense. They take direction for high volume clubs and apply it to normal clubs. Aka full product to the floor, which any normal associate would know means lots and lots of throws...oh I mean donations.

But like everything with this company they will follow this for probably five months or so, realize their throws are ridiculously high and some other home office genius will prepare a "new" plan.

We can’t stack any produce on top on a busy weekend. We must be hiring strawberry and gala apple attendants. Having a fully stocked beautiful sales floor in Produce is key to sales. Putting full pallets of cantaloupe and honeydew out in warmer weather??? In the end it will show in sales and throws/donations.

There will be two different pay/work grades for produce(not including TL). Produce 1 and produce 2. No info was given on 2. But there will be a ~.50 pay differential and you’ll have to to test or assessments to pass... CM didn’t not have any other info
