Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

I also had years of mostly S and some HS CFEs. I had weekly touchbases and midyear reviews. Never a cross word, complaint or any word that anyone was not happy with me or my work. Plenty of at-a-boys and I led some major projects. This year was the first my manager actually took the effort to write up my CFE. Usually, she just entered the rating in the system. Much to my surprise, suddenly I am "not a team player." Do they know any other phrase? I am "difficult, reclusive and unapproachable." Really? Suddenly, I'm Kim Jong Un? Says who? She couldn't or wouldn't say, claiming it was feedback from an anonymous survey given to my peers and coworkers. I got my facts together and went straight to my plus one. He was as shocked as I was. I went back to work and passed my manager on the way to his office. She did not return. All of a sudden she is "taking some time off." My rating went in a-- and the write up disappeared. I got a special assignment on another team. She left in July. I am back with my team and still here. I am telling this story because I want you to have faith, there are good managers who will not stand for the BS and will stick up for you when someone is trying to screw you over. I remember reading that you take a job for the boss, not the work. Amen to that brother.
