Up to 32% of FTE and contractors will be cut over a 3 month period.. CSCO wants to slim down. All L2 mgrs and their directors have been instructed to provide an excel spreadsheet of individuals to be cut. Some teams will be completely obliterated.
If your mgr or dir stops saying hi to you, that's a tell tale sign that you are on the list. Some of the planning will take place offsite to avoid tipping off the "victims".
So sad...once again the mother ship has ruined another of the brands they purchased. Starter, Umbro, Bauer Hockey, Cole Haan, Hurley, and now Converse...each time the non-Nike people get fired and the Nike people that are responsible for messing up the brand never get the blame they deserve. Just check the record - Nike has never purchased a brand and been successful building it long term. They are a branded company - they won’t ever be a company of brands.... Arrogance is a business killer - and it’s what has killed all of those brands. It’s a crying shame. Shareholders should hold someone accountable for the loss of value as a result of making these affiliate brands just do it “the Nike way”.
