Thread regarding CVS layoffs

No pay increase for pharmacy managers!

Has anyone had their review this year?

Looks like there is no raise to be had.

And....most Pharm managers have reached their max! How is that possible!? Apparently with the new structure managers reached the peak of their earning potential!

There is no incentive. I guess the incentive “they advertise” is “PM should aim to move up to DL.”

But who wants to be a DL? Being in charge of front store and pharmacy? For the same pay? Only difference is “bonus potential”?

  • NO THANK YOU!!!

I’d rather deal with angry customers and doctors.

The other thing people often say is “there are a ton of new grads just waiting to take your position, for less pay!”

Which may be true but that doesn’t mean these new grads will produce any better results. Especially when many interns don’t even know the business. I can’t even get my interns to work 12 hours per week (which is mandatory in my district).

This is nothing new with cvs. They play games saying you red-lined and won’t get a raise. But no one ever told us that when started working 10-15 years ago that there is a maximum salary . I asked my DL to show me company policy that shows maximum red-line salaries and she couldn’t. What incentive would a pharmacy manager have to put up with all the crap and metrics that are only fueled to get more scripts , CVS doesn’t give a crap about the workers or patients. It’s all about money but the people on top lack leadership and fresh ideas.

Look at the stock price tanking.

As a pm I have a bunch of stock options that are currently worth sh--!

Here’s perspective...DLs can screw you however which way they want and they are. Non rph DLs are f---ing over PMs like they did their store managers.

Consider yourself someone who still has a heart.

I’m a licensed DL and everyone in my district - Store Managers and Pharmacy Managers got some form of raise. The funding was 2.25% again this year. The average for the country was 3% to put it in perspective.

I’m pretty sure that means he/she is a licensed Pharmacist who is a DL. Giving all but two of his/her PM’s raises is a dead giveaway. I’m not saying they don’t deserve it but from my experience non Pharmacist DL’s don’t take care of their own in the same way.

What exactly is a "licensed District Leader"? Is there an actual DL license to be ontained?

It’s whatever your DL wants to give you. Just had my review. No raise. Have had worse metric years and received better ratings and raises.

As a licensed District Leader, this is untrue. I gave all of my PM’s increases this year except for the two that are not performing, and haven’t been for some time and are being managed. I’m unaware of any decreases of salary caps. We are in no way encouraged or incentivized to pay employees less or deny yearly merit increases.

Rph should feel lucky.

Managers are red lined at 15k

Higher than the starting minimum

So yes Ive been red lined ever since

They started this .... it really needs

Adjusting... the higher volume is a joke also ... the red line for that was only 900 dollars more

Wouldn’t it be great if CVS shareholders grew a pair and followed Disney shareholders lead. Bob Iger’s compensation was voted down. He will only receive his compensation and bonus based on performance (specifically closing the deal with Fox) and Bob Iger is more important to Disney than Larry is to CVS. How many times have you heard, “CVS is a results driven company”. I hear

it at every one of my reviews. The only thing Larry has driven is the stock price...into the ground. Hopefully Disney shareholders have started a trend.

No shame in taking from the little ones that work for you in order for you to afford that OTHER new car you wanted. God forbid your techs get paid over $12.. Breathe.. You may never make over $300,000 a year, it's truly a hard sign of the times
