The HAC keeps optical on life support...the secret can’t be contained indefinitely. Talk about a budget drainer!!
Consider Sam’s outsourcing as a test that mothership will Ben closing watching
We will be out of all our frames by week 22! That's a few months away.
A lot of changes to Senior H&W management in Bentonville. A real streamlining in Optical in particular. Thats why no QPC or a lot of communication. Changes coming out of YBM: Major modular wk 22. Eliminating about 30% of the frame brands and expanding stronger brands for better clarity of offering. Big launch of NAUTICA frames is part of the project, along with new signing. Thats why you are starting to see deleted frames. Same thing on lenses--- major deletions coming to bring greater clarity of offering. Major focus on HD and ZEISSS product. $20 Million dollar Ad campaign on HD lenses coming for BTS. Lots of emphasis on iPAD usage and 2nd pairs.
Not sure if this is fact of fiction, but SAM's is going 3rd party for Frames & Lenses. NVA to take over in Q2. Associates will still work for SAMS, but inventory, production and processing will be taken over by NVA. No plans to do this at Walmart. This is all I know
I have noticed we are having to trace frames a lot. Also almost every frame we have is out of stock online. Pretty much the only frames available are ones that are not shipping from us. So we definitely aren’t believing the “optical is going online only” rumor anymore. Lol
Have you looked at the frame outs list and how far out the ETA's are to get them back in? I've never seen it so bad. Something needs to change somewhere!
Nothing which is so unusual and I've noticed our QPC's getting smaller or not having one like this week. 🤔
Nothing!!!
