Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

A simple question to all ..

Now that Govt. has declared this as a security concern, Why is govt not raising concerns on all the other deals in las vegas, businesses , real estate [ commercial and residential ] over the years.

How come no one blocked the investors buying properties in cash across US, isn't that a serious concern too ?

Just a thought!

Dont they have have sizable offices in China , India and other parts of the world ? Obviously a global team works together and shares all information and will include sensitive information at times as well. Also, from the board, there are lot of H1B employees [short term] here and contractors from other countries.Should this be a security concern as well or all is well as is now ?

Remember cicso or juniper few years back ?

Legit questions. There have been sizable deals. Business being bought by Asian friends/families ( check out convoy) in 100s of millions, Not saying it bad, but same argument applies to some extent. Extrapolate this across US, it might be pretty big.

Speaking of real estate, Chinese $ has caused the real estate to where is it. This is is causing hard working american citizens hardships for sure. I hear honest, hard working teachers live in RV in the bay area !!

Nothing against any anyone or the deal as its good either way with its own pros and cons. This seems to be a reasonable data point around the news today.

National security concern over real estate? I take it you were hoping Broadcom would purchase Qualcomm and move all the jobs to Thailand & China?
