Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Two stars on Consumer Affairs

And then we wonder why things are falling apart?

Just go and read some of the customer reports about State Farm.

I can guarantee you things didn't used to be like that. I'm not sure what happened in the past several years (or more like a decade,) but things have changed drastically.

And I see them only getting worse.

I have an auto claim in right now, also. My accident was on February 1. I was contacted that evening to start the claim process (which was surprising) but have heard NOTHING since. I am purposefully NOT calling just to see how long it takes for them to contact me. My car was repaired by a preferred body shop, so that part was easy. The at-fault party’s insurance carrier has reached out to me multiple times and admitted fault. I have yet to receive my $500 deductible back from State Farm, despite their promise that they would subrogate. Additionally, I reported neck/back pain on the date of loss. The other carrier has called me every week to check on my injuries, but SF has not even sent me a letter.

Also, my agent would have received notice of my claim but no one from his office has called me either. You’d think they would care enough to call and at least act like they cared since they get commissions on my home, three cars, PLUP, mortgage accident/death, and personal articles policies. All of those policies will be moved to another company. I can get better service at cheaper rates. The at-fault carrier has proven that to me every week since February 1.

Check your source. Consumer Affairs!!!!! Only people with complaints go there. How do you know this is a joke? Check out the rating for arguably the best insurance company there is --USAA and they are at two stars on this site.

I'm with taking insurance elsewhere. Why should we have to pay for rate increases when all that is really needed is for the owers to be to allow employees to do the job they were hire for and actually underwrite the policies. Company is going to be bankrupt in a few years.

The recent JD Powers ranking was shocking after 3 years of progressively nosediving. Makes you wonder who funds JD Power. A $100 million grant from SF?

The claims reorg was another great idea, Tippy. Take your golden parachute and GTFO.

I have a claim in process now. I totally understand the poor ratings. As soon as I can, I'm moving all my policies elsewhere.

Yep. Also the recent JD Powers ranked SF #4 and management thought that was a good thing.

It's all about the almighty dollar, not the customer... And it's going to stay that way...
