Broadsoft BU is reorganized and its current head will be retired. 50% reduction is planned in the BU in July. Also, overlapping Cisco's CCBU on-premise maintenance products will be spun as a separate company which has only licensing renewals.

@SC5U4sf-5drg that time will not come, as the broadsoft will be already eaten and digested by CCBU Avaya's foxes. These foxes are retaining the old CCBU's on-premise product and even giving increments to their employees like anything.

You would have noticed that lot of EVP, VP and Sr. Director level people have joined from Microsoft. Some are on payroll of CTG. They are earning millions. To pay their salary, perks and travel someone has to sacrifice. LR of Broadsoft will be the simplest thing to do, as Collaboration is growing, at least in theory by removing people.
Already a number of employees of Broadsoft are marked in-transit. Just to save leadership jobs, they can be asked anytime to leave. Bangalore centre is a headquarter of political rookies who have survived for ages just by doing manipulations, doing zero technical work and getting credits by touching feet of US execs.
Broadsoft team is naive in front of these rookies.
CCBU in Boxburrough = Full of snakes
CCBU in Bangalore = Redundant Wipro-ites enjoying life , playing politics and surviving
Fibonocci Series organization = wasting stickies and paper rolls
With all these cases, Broadsoft will never be able to evolve.
CCBU is a burden on Cisco. It’s run by mafia gang members (some are ex-avaya) indulging in numerous unethical activities (read other threads – kickback from vendors, data manipulation, hiring to build their own empire). VP Eng is a highly political person and has incompetent yes-man as directors and PE/DEs to secure his turf. PM team is useless too with absolutely no coherent vision and execution. Many in CCBU are long timers as they came to Cisco as part of one or the other acquisition and are just collecting paycheck with little to no desire to contribute. Don’t get me wrong there were some really smart individual within the group but almost all have left over the years. I am surprised Cisco has not yet closed down Boxborough.
The cloud of Broadsoft will burst soon by the VP of CCBU who is working very hard to save his position here on-premise Boxborough.
CCBU do not have the GTM team which they had 3-4 years back. It is because CCBU products are getting only upgrades , which do not fetch profit as per Cisco's product policy. Already, their cloud is dead.
They are banking on Broadsoft, but giving the outlook that it is controlled by old CCBU leadership, there is high chance of re-organization. Those leaders are well known for suppressing an IP for self growth.
Leadership is trying very hard to make profits. Let's trust them and support with all the hands.
This shall happen as in 2017, loss earned by Broadsoft was $16.2 million.
CCBU is also very heavy at the top management.
