August Retail Head Count Redustions

So it look like August is when we will see head count reduction from the rumors. Supposedly the magic number of contracts expected is 92 per employee that may vary by store. With the traffic we have had lately that's not happening.

This forum has turned into a complaint board for disgruntled employees and trolls who have no connections to Verizon whatsoever.

I agree with previous poster. Stores need to close now. Mgrs who don’t believe in the product anymore, DMs who don’t care one bit because they are just “taking orders” from their bosses. Stores being robbed everyday.... CLOSE THEM ALL. RETAIL is dead & it’s never coming back.....

Or just apply at T-Mobile. They’ll be around for a while since the understand what it means to be INNOVATIVE & Moving with the times.

It’s 2018 Verizon. Who cares about your superior “network” You are Losing.

Do we really think Verizon is going to close stores before AT&T does? That would send the stock plummeting

Manager at my store said were not filling any positions of those who've left. 2 people quit last month and another just put her 2 weeks in. Mind you, we are one of the busiest locations on the east coast. Last meeting was pretty negative and a lot threats of accountability (which my managers know nothing of). I wish they would just close the stores already and get it over with.

Our GM told us that headcount would be reduced if the store numbers weren't were they should be maybe it's a scare tactic but in my store we would loose about 4-6 reps

I have seen 2 people fired for numbers in NYM but that's 2 in the last 5 years, most reps are miserable and are sick of the micromanaging by former slammers who became solutions managers and Store GMs with no management credentials. Most others last from 1 year to 3 not much more. The ones who have been here longer are so burnt most don't give a sh-t and feel trapped because they see the future loud and clear!

I’ve never actually seen anyone fired for numbers in 4+ years with the company. I’ve seen people quit because the PIP makes them so miserable, but never actually seen someone terminated. The system is too slow for people to be fired by August.

No. Just jack up their quota and then fire them for not hitting it. Easy peasy...

Are you suggesting solutions specialists will be laid off? We all know that is impossible.

i guess one of the advantages of working for a lumbering dinosaur telco is that they take 10 years to make any type of decision that would affect anything good or bad. All I could think of is advertising/product placement. There is no reason to pay 20 some odd people 60k to basically clerk phones and move spreadsheet data around, I would be amazed if most of them turned any kind of profit.

Why don't they just close stores already? They have run their course and all they do now is cost money and get robbed all the time.

I don't understand why we still have so many stores. They are worthless.
