Wasting money...Hanover Center

*Unlimited OT for order processors

•Most of the time they are talking, singing and dancing during work hours and orders are left waiting to be filled and BOOM!!!! overtime is needed.

*Fake Career Development

Phone reps offline to “learn” how to be a call center supervisor but .. we already have too many supervisors or on “special projects & not enough agents to take calls from customers

*No ownership or accountability

•Wrong number posted on the website during Apple Launch .. 100 reps in the office at 3am for OT and no calls for 2 hours

•Reps /Supervisors scheduled for training or meetings that end up roaming the building or going to the mall or casino

So many reports and data but no one looks at them to speak to mismanagement

The prisoners are running the jail or the tail is wagging the dog is one of the Directors favorite saying

Those offices are run by big apes, you know the gorilla kind, the very loud type.

Hanover will never close. It is the only Government Support Center and 1 of 3 Business Support Centers. Those customers will jump to another carrier if VZW moves BGCO call center employees to HBA.

I have a hard time believing the bit about the order processors. They have some pretty specific efficiency metrics which are constantly being watched by all levels of management. No way they’re all getting away with singing and dancing and messing about all day with no orders getting through. The uptick in orders and need for OT is probably because the VZ online order portal is in absolute ruins and they can’t get the people they need to fix the many, many problems it has.

As for the leadership programs, that is likely due to turnover, as who in Gods name would want to be a supervisor in that work group? Senior leaders lead by fear and intimidation. I’ve sat in leadership meetings and listened to the Director literally yell and scream at the downstream leaders. But you don’t know that happens until you actually become a supervisor in that god forsaken place, then you’re looking for the exit.

The “wrong phone number” bit is hilarious and sad but completely unsurprising.

People not showing up to trainings and roaming the halls or otherwise dicking around is also accurate.

That’s just my experience from being in that department for as long as I have been. But overall, you’re right - SO MANY PROBLEMS that are not being effectively handled. So much money wasted. And we continue to watch person after person leave as a result. Methinks it’s my turn to leave soon!

It doesn't matter. In a few years these jobs are gone anyway. Might as well enjoy your life...the executives have wasted more money by accident than you could ever do on purpose. Hate them.
