Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Dis anyone get a raise in 2017?

With mid-year reviews coming up, so you think they’ll forego raises again this year?

Confirmed. You won’t have a comp discussion at the upcoming mid-year reciew. Party line is “comp discussions will be part of your year-end reciew”. Exactly the line that was used in 2017 at the year-end review, except comp was going to be discussed at mid-year reviews. What a joke.

Must be a new way the lawyers devised for FMR to get rid of older workers in a legal way - no age discrimination if people leave on their own.

Every day you wake up, you are a free agent, so complaining comes off as pathetic. If the grass is truly greener just leave. But do you really believe that no one is paid more now than two years ago?

What a load of crap. We keep being told you’ll get an end of year adjustment, then at year-end they tell us no, you’ll be reviewed mid-year next year. Two years with no raise, no cost of living adjustment? Time to look for a company that appreciates me and adequately compensates me. If that’s what AJ wants, the millennials can have it.

Correct, there will not be raises at mid-year. With a few exceptions, all compensation adj (raises and bonuses) are end of year (except those still getting quarterly bonuses). Promotions also very, very limited.

Also there will not be a formal review.
