Congrats. As far as living quality, San Diego is much better than bay area. The traffic is horrible in bay area. Vanpool won't help. Real estates price is like 2-3x of San Diego. Lots of job opportunities is the only big plus there.

OP, happy for you. Enjoy life in the bay area and the great city of San Frans and not to forget your brand new Tesla, which I am sure you will get. If you're single, you will surely find love over there!

Rjf -- OP again. Thanks for the wishes! I found an apartment very close to this company and they provide awesome free transportation by vanpools!! Save more $$ and also reduce some pollution. I already sold my car (had a bmw 5 series) to a fellow Qcer and will probably lease a new electric vehicle over there. They have some agreement with Tesla and Nissan.
Congratulations OP!! I hope everything works out. I know it’s expensive to live up there, but public transportation is miles better than in San Diego. You may find it evens out.

@uhc the OP here. I was called by my sr. director to his office and given the great news. I already have secured a job in the bay area with a stealth startup and got a hefty salary, relocation benefits, sign on and stocks. Good luck to you all.
