Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Nothing will change

I see no change happening. The same non technical senior Directors playing same old games. This is no longer an organization where smart technical folks can move ahead. It has been infested with old boys network and sr. Directors and Vps playing mind games. Sad

The smaller your employee number the bigger your network with biggies and stay FOREVER.

Send your dictating emails . Don't bother about catching up and PRETEND

Ceo should serve the shareholders and bring value for them

Mollenkoff failed miserably but hock tan succeeded bigly

The company is not to serve the employees

What is currently happening in qualcomm.. incompetence nepotism etc etc is a disservice to shareholders

Agreed with xvm. Hock is would have screwed it up differently. Not saying it is good now, it is awful, but octane would have been worse. Have you idiots even spoken tk brcm folks who were there pre-avago? Brcm is awful now

STOP with the Hock Tan crap! He would have definitely make big changes. He’d fire everyone without severance, like he did at Broadcom, and move all the jobs to Thailand!

Be realistic. Anywhere you go there will be the same challenges. You either raise to meet the challenge or let it defeat you.

Sometime I can see this Q executive at the JCC and I can say OP is entirely correct about the old boys network. Only an outsider can cleanup this mess.

@lim Don't get me started about WRD and CRD. The people there are the very reason why I started looking outside of Q right after I joined.

Aside from offering a $82 a share ( lie : "materially undervalues"); Octane would have been an effective change agent to cut out the worthless middle manager stuff.

The VPs seem to spend their time trying to figure which directors are being straight headed and which are making up sh--; the active directors seem to spend time tying to figure what data they can trust and what data is b---s--- or so-called 'leveraged'. 'Leveraged' = 'didnt have time to actually do the work, so copied it from the nearest vaguely similar project and changed the title'.

One example of ol boys network is WRD and CRD management. The amount of rest and vest that many of the Sr Dirs and above have done is beyond expectations. These folks have benefited themselves by doing no technical work. They rule over other technical folks bcos they can. These same a**** now get to decide who gets laid off and what worth we are.

Only an outsider like Octane can change corruption at Q
