Get off your high horse !

"If your going to explain your opinion at least know how to use proper grammar and know how to spell."

should be

"If you're going to explain your opinion at least know how to use proper grammar and know how to spell."

There's a DIFFERENCE between using YOU'RE and YOUR !!!

Honestly I cannot believe how many people are responding on here that cannot write in full sentences. Poor grammar and you work for Verizon. If your going to explain your opinion at least know how to use proper grammar and know how to spell. To set the record straight, all b and c stores are going to one asm and one gm. A stores will be two asm’s and one gm. If you close on sundays your store is going to be converted to indirect with in 6 months. My stores lease was up in November and was closed in April the next year. All reps and managers laid off. The reason the company is failing is because that stupid a-- purchase of aol and yahoo. 10 billion for two failing search engines. Honestly they need to get rid of stupid a-- people that think sales are people that come in and ask for things, while not having to pitch anything. They need to get rid off the bottom 20% of all reps on scorecard. Solutions specialist means you create solutions for the customer. I was with the company 8 years and went to winners circle 7 times. If you s--- at sales or think that you shouldn’t pitch anything because it’s slamming somebody you are probably not in the right job. Just take the severance and move on. Go s--- a fat one if you disagree....

I'm a so-called MORONNIAL and it makes total financial sense to get rid of TENURED reps because you make too much money then we do. Besides customers expect the worst out of us so it's OK if we don't give a crap about the customers they expect it from us .

talked to my manager and he said that he heard May will be more layoffs. Told me the same thing last year about Nov. being a lay off month. Happened last Nov. and I expect some more coming down next month. 6 months after Nov. I guess. I believe him, known him for a long time. Good luck to all.

I have never understood this word " Tenured " when it comes to VZW? If the Management doesn't like you they can find something in the performance scorecard and write you up for 1 (verbal) month, then 3 writtens and go to HR for recommending termination. Be thankful most Store Management are only self focused and care about themselves with no Retail Mangement background. Also, supposedly the management are doing month behaviors coaching, instead of Performance coaching. Coaching another Verizon word disguised for getting rid of or doing things that don't work.

How many years would BIG RED consider a REP tenured ? I'm going on 8 years and having my first child in June. I heard the rumors early this week. My general manager claims she knows nothing about what's going to happen. I thought I was going to retire with Verizon when I started but it wasn't a THUG company back then. Does anybody know what kind of package they would give us if we get laid off if any?

I'm on edge with the company hearing the rumors the past few days. June 30th will be my 3rd year. I hope I don't get let go before that because I have almost $18,000 in my 401k. I was told I will lose it if I get laid off. OMG you said cherry picking. That cracks me up and is the truth. The same stuff happens at my location too in North Carolina. BTW their called homey's Who chill with management in their office while some reps do the troubleshooting and customer service work.

I'm in op's and we feel like something is coming down soon in a big way. So something happening on 5-17 may just be true. Wouldn't doubt it a bit. It's not the end of the world so to anyone affected I wish you good luck & "This Too Shall Pass".
