Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel among the best for compensation and benefits

I just saw on Indeed article from a couple of months ago that Intel is at number twelve among companies with best compensation and benefits.

Am I missing something here? How is this possible? Disregarding the constant threat of layoffs, where are these high earners and what are these mythic benefits that got us this high on the list?

Uhh No 1 on that list is Costco. Kind of a skewed list really. Also, tons of intel people in OR and AZ making $150k+, which gives you a very nice life there.

Talk work is very valuable. Don't be stupid and become an engineer. Talk more do less.

Depend on what work you do. You will be compensated well by doing talk work. I have seen someone being promoted to PE by just doing talk work with no done.on how to get project done.

Intel still pays sabbatical which very few other companies do. Besides that, comp. and benefits is about average and constantly being eroded since the clown came to power.
