JK is on a big recruiting push...which is laughable considering the amount of good talent they both let go and are constantly loosing due to the poor leadership and this new way of working that has destroyed the team environment that used to be so strong in the old ISD. Everyone just covers there own butt now and no one cares about taking care of each other, the business partners, or definitely not helping our own leaders. DGTC has plenty of open lower to mid level positions....the word is out though....no one wants to deal with this mess. Rumor is that a title/position review will happen soon in our area. Even with my above expectations review and extra bonus....I'm actively looking to get out myself....I still don't feel safe and valued.

It would be the end of a fiscal quarter. It is possible.

The overall work environment has definitely degraded at Walmart. In the beginning, there was a strong company culture and an atmosphere where people were willing to help each other learn and grow in a competitive and challenging culture. With the new CEO and CIO, that has changed drastically. Rolling layoffs and a modified compensation program have reduced the place to a painfully realistic version of "Survivor," with the contestants not knowing what to expect from day to day. Leadership wants "missionaries, not mercenaries," but that is virtually impossible within the current environment. If you are skilled enough to be hired on there, do what you can to excel and exhibit your accomplishments. I do not recommend staying there very long, as it is now a toxic environment.

When are they not laying off?

Word is out about Walmart in general. Retail and tech are really small industries and I feel like everyone has heard about the Walmart Hunger games.

I left ISD last Sept. I still have sources there giving me updates. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse gutted the place. I am hearing it is basically The Hunger Games on steroids. No promotions, raises, RSRs or Incentive/Bonus unless you are rated an Above Expectations. I am also hearing it is 1 badged associate to 20 contractor ratio. Hearing some areas have double digit open reqs that can't get filled because ISD's reputation is out there in the IT world.

I have heard nothing about the end of April but expect more of the same - gutting and people fleeing as they can't get out soon enough.

I hope for getting laid off. It ends me coming to this place to comment.
