Best wishes, keep studying, hopefully in a new field.

Semiconductors is a commodity. Lots of opportunity in new tech.

I didn't even become an engineer until i was 30. You have lots of good years ahead, you will be glad when you look back that you got pushed in a new direction.

So hang in there. I am in school too and much older than you, I have always looked back and seen these things provided new, better opportunities.

Tough tough last couple months for me too. Had a couple interviews .. prepared hard and got through a couple rounds but then got rejected. Studying under pressure while managing work and then waiting for the outcome only to find out I am back to square one. i'm tired of this .. it's been going on since 2015. My work s---s too and been trying to get out for a while even before all this drama started. My manager basically doesn't care .. his only job is to agree or veto whatever I do and give no other feedback. Really stuck between. Never bargained for this when I worked hard to get my masters. Alas I count my luck.. I am grateful to have been admitted to a top ranked masters programme, to be granted a student visa, to get selected in h1b lottery, to have found a full time job in a once decent company named Qualcomm and finally to have saved decent amount by not living extravagantly. I know many who have faltered in each of these stages. I am still 30 .. would be good if someday I am able to establish my self in my career and contribute something than having to constantly look over my back and I wish the same for others who are stuck this way too. Had it not been for a family to provide for I would retire right now. No hatred ..I can see both sides - folks who work hard and dodge several immigration bullets to provide comfortably for their family and folks who think their piece of the pie is being eaten by someone else.

I used to be depressed before. Not anymore.

We are born to live, stress, pay bills and die anyway. This might sound horrible but a real reason to be depressed is being ill or losing someone you really care about. That being said, I refuse to be depressed for a job. Yes, it is important financially but are better things to worry about. Worry for something that can't be replaced or fixed

I have insomnia. Stress level is maxed out. Pressures to still perform. I’m just glad to leave this hell hole
