Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

No meeting - no layoff?

Just a question, have people who are going to be laid of today already been scheduled for the meetings?

Mainly, if I have no unexpected meeting on my schedule, does that mean I am safe?

I keep reading contradicting info on this in different threads, so I was hoping to get a concrete answer here.

Find your HR rep via your Qpeople profile. Then schedule a 'dummy' meeting with them to determine their availability. Mine is booked all day and so are others.

On go/transition there is a hotline for those who need emotional support. Friday and Monday there was 'de-escalation' training for security personnel (ie. to prep for employees who go postal.)

The axe falls today, 100% certain. At least the severance is quite good.

I believe there there is a 2 week window when the news needs to be delivered, today is when it starts. So it’s possible it could be next week it all depends on how the director wants to handle it.

Impossible to answer. It‘s completely possible that there will be another round of meetings next week.
