Main reason they failed: bad leadership.
Great case study for HBR on how not to blindly geoshift, import h1b, discriminations, and favourism. HR shall challenge any manager who has over 80% of their teams from the same ethnic background ! Many great engineers and mangament fed up with the culture and left already. God bless Qualcomm - once a great company to work for.
