I bought a pallet of TVs last year from Sears Bstock. About 40 TVs on the pallet. Most had cracked screens or some problem like no sound or a loose connection. Took some apart and made around used parts from the other TV's and made around 15 good Tv's and sold the other electronic parts on Ebay. I made pretty good money on the deal.

This stuff, when under $5K, is bought by eBay resellers who pick out the good stuff and resell it online.

Sears has no integrity either. They've also been fined by one state after reselling <90 days up to fully expired items from the health/pharmacy section to unwitting buyers.

@1ryk That was the original idea behind Big Lots, but in recent years they've either cut way down or stopped entirely on buying stuff like that. Now their stores are full of generic made-in-China junk made just for them. Much less fun to shop.

People, every major retailer does this. They all have B-stock sales or outlets. Things that are out of date, customer returns, damaged in store are sold on pallets to the highest bidder. I used to work for a guy who had a second hand store and he would buy pallets of stuff from Lowes and HD. Most was junk but you would get your monies worth at resale. We would take some of the tools and lawn equipment and switch part to make a good tool or lawn mower. Also, I think this is how Big Lots gets their stuff.

Our MCC only sends out the worst sh--, ecen our retail shelves get stuck with torn and broken crap at my store. Hate to see the mofo who buys one of our pallets.

Yes. That's literally what the CRC does with RTV product that you send back. It's put onto pallets and auctioned off. That's been the process for at least the 16 years I've been here.

*meant to say RTV not RRC...

So wait...Eddie is trying to sell a whole bunch of RRC? I don't know about other stores, but our store only ships out unsellable crap. Busted air compressors, power tools, small appliances, vacuums. Stinky shoes, ripped/holey clothes, some with odors. Anything that has some value we put on 991 and try to sell, so whatever we put on the pallet is truly worthless. I'm sure even Goodwill would say no to everything on our pallets.

Who knows....maybe the majority of that RTV at Grove City and elsewhere is actually good product and not like the condition that my particular store sends out. Maybe some other stores take the easy way and just RTV everything regardless of whether it is sellable or not.

That's just RTV product from Sears and 605 from Kmart.

Merchandise booked at 41k .

Selling for less than 3?

Next you'll tell me the real estate isn't worth what we've been led to believe .

Someone is buying it, but it is nearly being given away, lol.

Truckload (22 Pallets) of Bed & Bath, Furniture, Home Goods & More (5756642_03_15), Mixed Condition, 2,415 Units, Ext. Retail $41,245, Groveport, OH

Current bid: $2,525

Avg. Price Per Unit: $1.05

Bids: 16

I'm not sure what "mixed condition" means. A couple of the other lots specify that they consist of "customer returns", so maybe this is a mixture of customer returns and warehouse-damaged items, and maybe some stuff from closing stores that didn't sell? Not a whole lot of details visible without being a registered bidder with a reseller certificate.

A whole truckload of bed and bath furniture retails for $41,245 and Lambert can’t even give it away.
