Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Another day, another fresh new hell. Micromanaged to the max. Not sure if it’s just my team or hah wide.

Coverage team is not in the budget for snp. We have to work the days ahead prior to leaving. Have to catch up when we come back. It's hell right now.

Even if I do get caught up. I will be back to red in no time after vacation. We have 4 freaking coverage team nurses for our entire region. It’s such a joke.

No shortcut will help because you are defeating the whole purpose of hourly work. I agree that you are skewing the results. Roster is not manageable even for the "hot shots" on our team. We have lost 3 on our team already.

Mgmt said they would look at metric requirements once they see what could be done. So why is everyone using short cuts rather than demonstrating what can be done? Its really skewed the data and mgmt thinks it can be done.

We need to all take a stand and show that its unmanageable. They blame the budget- then put a freeze on enrollement. They blame people quitting, then retain or hire employees! As associates we need to demonstrate what is manageable and not tip toe around, finding shortcuts and BS. We need to take our breaks, pass chart audits, and make sure the call logs show how hard we work to back it up. They cant ask for any more than humanly possible.

I thought one of the points of going hourly was to weed out who could and couldn’t do the job, and to prevent the shortcuts from happening.

No it’s not just your team. We are feeling burned out, sick , overworked and there is no end in sight. Our coach is also showing that she is stressed out. The metrics are killing us. Just because we are doing it doesn’t mean it’s doable. We can’t continue this intensity much longer. People are finding short cuts, ways to get metrics in and it’s not in a good way just to survive
