Thread regarding L3 Technologies layoffs

L3 Greenville Shutdown

I was just informed that L3 in Greenville will soon be shutdown. I don't work for them, but my employer plans to recruit them heavily since we need employees with their skill sets. Can anybody who actually works there confirm this rumor?

Worked in GVL as a guard, no layoffs at all. That place is the govt. There will never be a shutdown just renaming and shuffling, carry on.

I worked at Waco for nearly 3 years & all I saw was complacency on the lines. Nothing got put out on time because everything gor reworked 4 or 5 times because no body bothered to do iy right. Msnagers nit great, but production just as bad. Nobody here wants to admit thatALL of l3 is worthless.

I’m an aircraft mechanic at L3 Greenville Tx. Just heard rumor last night at work that Boeing has bought us. Just lost 10k in my 401k this month after sell of L3 Vertek.

I’ve been following the situation closely here in Greenville. It looks more like a buyout like in the past Raytheon and E Systems. A bunch of buildings getting painted new safety stuff added to Foot Sheer Machines, etc., severance packages abound being given out late last year and now the highest upper echelon is leaving very soon with no named internal successors. And we were told in no uncertain terms that our next job is the game 7 World Series b/c customer wants extreme results or else...

Dear SAD. What is sad is your complete lack of ability to use the english language. It only takes a few extra seconds to use punctuation so that we can understand your situation. And spelling is really needed to get your point across.

Soon, they will be closing not much going on Waco about to close the plant laid off left and right. Majority problems with L3 is that lack of skills management all got out from the service no clued because of buddies systems.

I used to work there why do you think I left that place. Especially when you work with a bunch of bean counter well systematic running backward lack of management skills only thing they good at lies and back stapped. They have bad systems engineer half of them no clued what they doing. So if any company wanting to hire them to make sure they pass the interview theory test or after hire you be request.

You're both wrong, it is the classified research lab in Nacogdoches that is closing.

Oops.
