Any feedback on company wide layoffs on in transportation today.

Talked about routing, being done by HO instead of by DC’s. RDC’s got hit hardest, some of their transportation office and shop peeps got displaced today. None in GDC’s (yet). “Centralized Routing” is already being done on the WC and is now being implemented on the EC. Some WC DC’s are being totally run by 3rd party (Walmart in name only). I suppose that’s the overall plan for all DC’s is to get out of the liability of the logistics business by letting someone else run it. Why pay people $20 an hour when you can have a business come in and pay you to let their people do it for $10/12 an hour? Helps pay for store level raises, competing with Amazon (good luck on that), purchasing Humana, and lining the wallets of the Waltons a little more than they already are.
