Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

This is despicable

Within days of announcing the elimination of an entire shift and 1,500 jobs at the giant Lordstown, Ohio assembly plant, General Motors announced that its subsidiary, known as the Lordstown GM Subsystems Manufacturing LLC, will be hiring low-paid temporary workers under an agreement the United Auto Workers signed behind the backs of rank-and-file workers.

The UAW Mafia Leadership is every bit as corrupt as the banks now running the company. Sure, the UAW hitmen wont be reelected, but they don't care... they've made their fortunes. Generous Motors has been very good to them. Like Mike Bennett at Saturn/ GM Operations Tennessee.

Yep. The way the world is going. Get rid of experienced employees solely because of the higher base salaries they have earned over time for cheap, inexperienced labor.
