Sears has great prices and great products, not sure why people are so quick to write them off. They've greatly reduced their store count. It's not like there's some law that says they can't ever succeed.

"They have greatly reduced their store count" This is a problem and let me explain in the gentelest way possible. When you have less stores, you make less money , when you make less money and have the same amount of, and/or growing debt , it restricts your ability to pay the debt . Why do people not understand this?
Sears/Kmart could be giving merchandise away for free and no one would know because no one goes to Sears/Kmart. Look at the YoY sales declines and revenue declines.
@1mcn Yes, but only in the form of SYW points that expire in 7 days.
so I guess that reflects the new way they announce closures, instead of a list it's just local announcements? lol
Sad joke...like 50 hooks with one of the same item per hook...
Sears is a porta potty
Sears bring nothing new to offer. Both Kmart amd Sears offer the same tired crap year after year and people will vote with their wallet as far as sales.
Lol...what products? Sears barely carries anything anymore. Have you even been in a store lately? Empty shelves everywhere, clothing meant for Christmas still on display, etc. I can't believe anyone still shops at Sears with such a pitiful selection
Let it go. It'll be dead soon enough..... Even if SHLD sells the Sears or Kmart name to someone else and they use it for a website that won't be the REAL Sears or Kmart (look at Montgomery Ward). It doesn't matter if people today are "writing it off" because the point of no return has been in the rear-view mirror for a long time.
If they've gone from over 4,000 stores down to just a few hundred and still can't right the ship then what makes you think that SHLD can be profitable with literally a handful of run down stores left in crappy retail areas. Even the online retail sites are a nightmare so they ain't gonna help either.
