Sorry to hear this - given general uptick in business it is surprising. Decision to merge Linkabit's overhead into CSW which drove up rates was probably one reason. Also those SAP costs and allocation across years are still haunting the organization. Also, ageism seems real at CSW - desire for younger employees (who work for lower salaries).
90 people were terminated with 2 to up to 26 weeks of severance and some out placement assistance. Most people were from operations, assemblers, process engineers, support people.
There was an official letter from Dan G about 15mins ago formalizing the RIF. About 90+ all over.
All departments, and not due to hemorrhaging money.
