More job cuts coming to retail stores right before Q2.

We have 5-6 people, each shift, total, running our store everyday except truck day and the weekend when we have 7-8 people. 5-6 people until 3pm when the high school kids come in and work until closing.
It'd be nice if associates in barely-staffed stores like that could zip around on kick-scooters or hoverboards.
zrb- how on earth do you manage? My goodness you must have some good shoes and aren’t you totally exhausted when you get home only to know you have to do it again the following day?

@SWNEF4w-ikgh The Two office associates get a total of 12 - 15 hours between them. I agree with you 100%.
Roating management and APP being looked into in the eastern districts.
Hours being cut but not a lot of associates to get rid of. An ASM that doesn't do anything would be a good choice..
@zrb, TWO office associates??? Is that what is needed?? In my store the office associate doesn't do too much. Counts the cash but there isn't a whole lot to count these days. She doesn't help out anywhere else.

@SWNEF4w-mnc I mean that seems like the only things they can cut in my store if they cut the last remaining ASM (I would assume they are going to offer her to come back for less pay and loads of work or throw the work to the super visors and just share it). Also AP (we only have one) would be another thing to cut, other than that I just don't see what else they can cut at this point.

ASM's will be cut in most stores and at corporate the buyers, marketing, and some IT will be cut. AP will take another hit
With all the Jobs in this Great Country, your sure to find something quick. Employment is available in every major city, so many jobs you won't no which offer to take. Stop whining and go for it. You'll get a better paying, more bonuses than you ever got with Sears. Believe, and Achieve it. It's possible!!!
Talk to President Trump, he's making America great again, maybe he can do the same for Sears.
Job cuts are a blessing. You get unemployment and time to find a better place. How about Job Quits ? Now the hanger-on has more work and the lack of customer service is narrowed down to YOU 👊
This is true, seen some dropped on false premise of violations, and simply enforcing system of infractions.
@SWNEF4w-kix I agree with you completely. We are running our Sears B store on a skeleton crew. We only have 31 employees in the whole store and that includes a SGM and an ASM and 2 office associates. That leaves only 27 people for the rest of the store including MPU. Most of the employees are in school with limited availability due to class schedules. There have been days when we can only schedule 1 person in hardware and when that person calls out there is no one to replace him or her, many times for the whole day. I personally am working in every department in the store including sales, all of store support, and especially forced to cover MPU. It's getting old real fast.

Says who? Another posting with no backup or facts. Eventually i'm sure it will happen but i'm not going to speculate exactly when and get people all upset.
People everyone is goin to be losing their job with this awful company. Time for everyone to find a better company that has some sort of idea how to run a successful business. It is a joke.
What abt corporate?
