Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Chicago Office....lots of firings?

It seems to get worse here by the day.... people just can’t take it anymore. Some are leaving for greener pastures but others are getting canned left and right. What for? From what I’m seeing severance is not going to be offered for those holding out but they’re just trying to trip everyone up on metrics and to get them out. Are we really safe until 2020? I don’t think so.

For layoff, company handbook states involuntary severance must be offered...can anyone else confirm?

Happened to me. I thought I’d be in Calif office til closure and was suddenly terminated after 30 years. Glad I am out of the unrelenting stress and unreasonable work conditions.

Good luck.
