No layoffs for Greenville or Schenectady, both facilities were informed to call back the skilled work force. Both facilities were given very detailed and strict instructions to hire more workers. GE Power predicts mas quantities of work coming to these facilities within the next 45 days. No Layoffs on the way!

Morale is very bad at GE transportation Erie PA also.Just waiting for more bad news.We are always out of parts.Seem to have less and less work wile management tells us work is picking up.
Morale has gone to a all time low... certain areas used to have cook outs, people are leaving on their own, 25 rates, leaving.... what’s that tell you? Management shut down the cook outs and happy times. We don’t have any fork lift guys on 2nd shift, crane guys are expected to do all the moves while first shift and third f---s off, it’s really getting old....
What’s with the test office in H bay, management took the doors off their office.. reminds me of mommy and daddy taking off the door to your bedroom because you slammed it to much? If this was back in the day, heads would have rolled!!!! Where’s the god damn union?!!! Playing golf? What the f???!!!! Where are our balls???
Enough about layoffs, go look in 281 and tell me how the lighting is.... they won’t replace burnt out light bulbs or the hrdraulic ram that came with the equipment originally, they expect us to continue working in the dark and carrying heavy stuff in the bunker to move the job... when will this be fixed? Services recently screwed up a local customers job, because everything is hurry, hurry, don’t think they will be coming back as a customer, because of management, we look bad,
Dumb a-- post authored by Polly Ann.
The US layoffs will continue, Switzerland will double in size once we shake off this bloated GE parasite.
Long live Alstom!
