Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Will Hums be affected?

I’m concerned about the future outlook for Hums with the layoffs and store closures. Anyone hear anything about the Hums? Will they still be supported and still be a slammable product?

Thanks

I stay in this job (so far) cus despite having to fight leadership every single day and their idiotic practices i still manage to make a 100k a year.I have earn the right to complain about sh--ty products and initiatives. I dont owe sh-- to this company, i sell their products and they pay me for it.

My days in retail are number, the whole structes is constantly being geared to annoy people like me to death. They love the s---ers that use their “best practices” to get a .90 and basically sell for free.

Hum=Metadata. That’s all they’re good for. Verizon sells the info to the highest bidder

Hum is not a good product, so yes, it deserves the sarcastic comments thrown at it. I have shared plenty of sarcasm myself toward Hum, go90, HMC, and plenty of other silly Verizon products. And while this made me feel good for a while, it didn't do any good for anybody in the long run. How about we proactively try to come up with good products? If you're in the store, listen to customers, and brainstorm something that you can push. If you're a corporate worker bee, come up with something that is needed in the market. If you're a corporate exec, come up with something that will revolutionize the market. Point being, we can all gripe, but then let's do something that will do somebody some good.

If you don’t believe in the company or its products, why do you work for them. You people who get on here and complain and don’t give good information are WEAK and don’t know how else to make $65k anywhere else.

If you can’t sell ~5-10 hum a month (with disclosure) you ARENT cut out for the job and should go work somewhere else. If you’re toxic and hateful maybe a little self-reflection is in order. If you don’t love this job then LEAVE it.

I go to work every day happy and when management does something that upsets me I confront them about it. If you are so afraid to lose your job and too weak to stand up for yourself then I’m sorry to say you will have a bad time with any company.

I hear Burger King is hiring.

Hums will live on, there will be roaming Hum Reps who will meet with customers and install Hums in their cars. This is Lowell's biggest initiative.
