https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-05-03/ge-falls-to-third-in-global-gas-power-sales-as-mitsubishi-surges

Hey, Russell you worried about your job now ? Read this and wait for the call form Johny

GE drops to third in global GT sales , Qtr 1 2018 ...ouch

Maybe it has to do with the fact that GE Power senior leadership does not know sh!t about their business.

Jatila has always been an empire builder , any move he has made typically meant more resources reporting to him this was done to maintain his e band and staying above the requirements of having x number of employees reporting to him , this allowed access to stock options and keep could keep his company car (Porsche). Now GE has changed it incentive plan, cars have been taken away. He got a better deal , do you blame him that he left? Years ago GE used to share their wealth with individual contributors, those days are gone. The power division is going nowhere because no left at a individual contributor level really wants to be there. As for the other divisions, great contributors should dust their resume and shop market. I bet they can get a new job with a company that provides, a vacation , a raise, job sercurity and has integrity.

Anyway you cut this GE Power is struggling to win orders on new units sales.

Why, because they are not doing what is required which add resources to sales team and add resources to the ITO team. Usual BS at GE, orders are down so cut everyplace. Don’t forget sales made today will not ship for over a year or more. Can you say Long cycle business that requires strategic thinking an planning. The only long term strategy Power has is to cut overhead and reinvent themselves in services sector.

It's okay. Russell can still go to Maui....but if Power falls to fourth, then he might have to downgrade to just a regular ol' vacation.

GE was 3rd by Megawatts. In terms of units sold, it was 2nd.

GE helped Siemens by getting rid of Alstom as a competitor.

Siemens - you are welcome.

50 in 60? You must not be paying attention to our savior Flannery. Power has pivoted. The new motto is 50 to 60, as in the number of HDGT plus aero units sold a year.
