Watched the video about backroom and if there's an clerk out there that thinks your job is safe you're crazy. they are going to use us to set up the new system and help get kinks out of scheduling and we will be gone. they are just being sneaky about it...plus we will be wherever they want us during down time probably in fresh when those people are going to get a 40% raise if they pass the new fresh courses..how's that fair??? this company is going over the edge

The video was a joke! Who are these clerks who are so overwhelmed and frustrated by their job? If your office is that bad, then you s--- at your job! My office is immaculate!
I’ve worked in the receiving office for 10 years, and have never once just “sat” in the office. I’ve had my forklift license and also worked on the dock that whole time. I help anywhere needed if we are caught up in receiving, or will clean. If other clerks aren’t helping in other areas, it’s their managers/supervisors fault for letting them “sit” in the office.
All the negative comments about the clerks sitting in the office does nothing but show your ignorance. Most of the clerks are in that position because they have already put in the time on the floor when working on the floor meant working on the floor. No phones to play with. They are in that position because they didn't call in every other week and are trusted with doing the right things when no one is around. Stop trying to demean what they do. If you had the opportunity to be a Receiving Clerk, you would have taken it. Just be honest with yourself.

Duh!! There are no chairs in the video so where are the clerk's gonna to sit on the desk !!! get it together clerks, you will be on the sales floor humping instead of sitting on your Romp!!!
Don't listen to the others. I understand where you're coming from. And you have every right to think the way you do. They did the exact same thing to audit. Promised them they were safe while helping them get the kinks out if this new way to do audits. Then turned around and did away with their position not long after that. Sooo many reasons to feel like you do. These others won't understand because they don't want to. They just feel better staying complacent. Just hang in there and hope for that severance. Mine will be coming soon. I am so ready to be 100% done with this company that's going down the toilet.
Nope not scared at all to rock any damn color vest... but I also know n my position I know H.O. screens ins and outs better than managers do... I know how to correct receiving errors when managers leave them in initial status or back them out when a mistake is made. I know more than most TLs cause at one time I was one. Ive gained experience n have no problem teaching but if im forced into a cashier position n then pulled to work receiving cause of a call out or mishap thats where its a slap n the face... the company is trying new ways of doing thing to make uppers pockets fatter while we give it our all just to be kicked to the curb.
Where is this info about a Fresh test and 40% increase to pass it?

Is receiving scared to come out and put on a blue vest!? Heck they could even get a green vest. There is other jobs in the club besides clerk. Try something different. Yes I am in marketing and my days may be numbered too. Nothing we can do about it but do our best.
Honestly, how many separate posts are there about the Receiving Clerk?!?! You do know you belong to a Club, right? Clubs even closed their doors and everyone lost their jobs. If they just took the chairs out of the office, that would be a start!
