3/20 : could be HR training, "how to layoff 50 people in one day........" Ugh. Just like 2015 all over again. Looking around to see who of your colleages are mysteriously absent.......yuck.
Very nice. Do they just block calendar to show they are busy or they are really busy the whole day. Sounds suspicious that HR is soooooo busy. Anyways what do they really do? I.e. what are their daily tasks?
HR people are always fully booked! Check your VP/SVP schedule, they are also booked for that time.

Just checked 7 HR people, they are all fully booked on 3/20 from 8 am to 6 pm. What are the odds of that?

DJT had a nice day. Walls look good. Lets see when first 3b will pour into SD economy. On the other side, its Qualcomm's turn to show it can save 1.6 bil as well.
Layoff is not a good thing, but state of the company is such that it is warranted to bring back the thermal equilibrium. Time to evaluate the real honest hard working contributors and keep them. Company will do just fine without them i.e state will be the same as it is today in term of productivity. Baseline it and take the next best flight in Aircraft called 5G.
From reading this board, cut of 40% is needed. new Management/BOD is needed. After cut, Productivity will be the same as today and growth will be phenomenal for both employees and shareholders alike!

CA was explicit, it'll happen and it'll be fast. Had you been there in person, you could have been able to deduce that he was not kidding... Qualcomm promised $7.50 EPS next year, there is no way in hell we can do that with our current spend on labor. A small cut will not 'cut' it - this will be deep and broad. I am truly hoping they will do it fast so we can all put this sh-- behind us. I do not care in what batch (leave/stay) I end up, I just want it to be over.
Also, for the record, while many here dislike anything that has to do with Qualcomm, I'd actually like to keep my job as I enjoy working here and was able to professionally grow over last seven years. I know that each of us has a different story, in my case things worked out.
