I am working 4 hours per day and collecting only $300K. Feeling exhausted. Between parent/teacher conferences, karate classes, pilates, beers at Green Flash and daily email checking, I am starting to lose it. Too much to handle. I have to arrive one hour earlier and leave one hour later than my manager (she works 11am to 1pm with one hour in between for team lunch and status collection). This strategy kept me getting 6 on perf review for the last 12 years. But I heard of people that would rather take care of their health. They work 2 hours per day getting smaller RSU set. Once, there was a young guy that joined the team and put up to 8 hours per day in. Apparently they caught him coding, instead of working on power point. He did not last long. Unfortunately, some people just can’t adapt to corporate culture!!!!
Layoffs - just for rumor mongering; gossips; to make few people nervous and prompt them to switch jobs. In reality only if NXP merger goes through one should expect some RIFs. Relax and do the job till then !!!
