I am the original March 2nd poster. I'll admit I was wrong, as Eddie changed his mind. The above-noted date is now the one to watch. Hopefully, though, it too will come and go without incident.

I love the my boss is just a couple notches down from Eddie. Anyone who is some sort of manager has a boss who is a couple notches down from Eddie as the organization is very lean now. It isn't unheard of for a buyer to get a question directly from Eddie.
Posts like this keep me coming here! I work at Sears and have been actively seeking employment elsewhere. Until I find it, I can at least be slightly entertained by second-guessing; leaks; partial truths and nonsense.
The 100% truth we ALL know is that - by design - Sears is not long for this world. Sad but true.
I keep up on all news, rumours and bligs. I stay aware of the many vendors we can no longer even request a special order.
Each time a customer asks if we are closing I reply “ Yes...at 8!” I chuckle and suggest they research online. Between Seritage and ESL, it’s not hard to see Eddie’s/Gordon Gekko’s plot.
