If the layoffs do happen for the purpose of cost cutting, does that mean the current hiring freeze will continue and they won't be hiring anytime soon? specially in non san diego locations.

I wonder whether the laid off folks get to remain on premises for 2 months or have to gtfo with a box of personal belongings the same day. Sadly we’ll soon find out
Tomorrow is the day. Typically done on a Thursday, giving those effected the rest of the day and Friday. This is just so sad.
Hiring is going on at BDC. Also heard that they are cleaning up.
I don’t imagine the hiring freeze would be lifted anytime soon. I’m in SJO and have also noticed HR reps booking themselves for an entire day. That surely is a sign. That has been observed across multiple locations. These are probably the only days HR gets to do any work. This is their busiest time.
Other than that they’re busy sorting out disgruntled employees and their disagreements with their performance reviews.
I’d brace myself over the next couple of days. Not looking good at all. Hoping this stuff gets over and done with very soon.
