The executives are far too removed from what goes on in the departments they're responsible for. So they have no clue.
Flattening the organization will help, but not if the executives aren't qualified for their jobs.

As I understand it, Ed showed up unannounced and said his piece then got shown the door. Your jedi is not a disruption to the force. Sorry.
Ed has not attended the last 9 board meetings. He has not been affiliated with the Board for 2 plus years. MT became Chairman at same time he became CEO.
Is anyone up on the 12th floor trying to "right" this horrible mess being played out in the media? I hope our Marketing and Advertising folks can steer this ship from the depths of despair. If our CEO has his own personal drama going on, then we need strong leadership to come from someone else.
Tipsy misjudged the strength of internal bonds within this great company. He used a meat-cleaver instead of a scalpel. What an ugly mess. And the board shamefully allowed it.
Been here 33 years. Family also worked here for 45 years. Love this company. Totally understand need of changing and evolving. Lived through it many, many times....
There's no evolving going on here, Bub. This is braindead executives grasping at straws. You go ahead and toe their line though.
“No need in how things have been handled”
That’s about as on-point as it gets right there, folks.

Rumor has it Friday is the day. Board supposedly voted and approved the terminating of Tipsord Monday. Not a big believer in rumors but this one may have some teeth to it. Your dream for one final layoff may indeed be coming true.....
This downsizing has been done horribly. I have survived downsizing in other firms, including this one, but this has just been awful. My hope, and expectation, is that once the bloodletting ends that there will be one final layoff - Tipsey. On his last day make him watch George Clooney film "Up in the Air" then escort him out the door.
