Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Hiring Millennials

State Farm has and will continue to have major issues as it relates to attracting young talent, hiring Millennials. Period. This layoff fiasco will make it even harder. This applies even to our hubs and will be a major liability for the Farm for years to come. in fact, it will get worse. And those kids that sing up and join the ranks will have a negative experience as any innovative thinking is now shunned at multiple layers of management.

Let's be realistic here. SF has always valued a college degree for the prof/tech roles. Who in their right mind would come out of college not having two days off together? Having to account for every minute of every day to their overlord? To beg to go to the bathroom? I'm an impacted employee with 20 years on and there is NO way I would work in an in-office environment for SF. I'd rather leave and go the indy route. I know there's a bunch of people that will do this. I wonder what our costs per claim will be once that happens.....
