If you assume a 15% natural attrition rate in top performing and healthy companies, you'd end up with 0.07% people leaving the company every business day (220 working days in a year, 15% baseline) - if you assume 30K headcount, 300 folks is one percent, 30 folks one tenth of the percent and 20 folks would be just about 0.07%... Something like this.
For a company of the size of Q, up to 30 (0.1%) people leaving or joining is a day is normal. Nothing out of the ordinary here.

Interesting. But not sure if tracking total employee count is a good way to estimate the layoffs. People quit, take contract positions, retire. This number will keep changing regardless how company is doing. OP, refrain from posting information only available to the employees although I think the total number of employees is public information.
