Setting the record straight...so the original post on here is NOT TRUE. Info. came out today and guess what, the sales associates are staying right in the same place they were before. Please stop spreading untruths and gossip.
The floor help (stocker) code was deleted last year. Some stores just allowed those people to continue to work and just changed job code to sales assoc. Some states demand so many techs per pharm in the back area. Not all stores will be doing the rotation of techs at registers.

OTC just moved to division one this month, she lost her sales associate they were made to go to another position (ours chose cap team). Our pharmacy has NO cashier and no sales floor help except for the DM. If you are job coded as a cashier in pharmacy consider yourself lucky but that is not com-any direction nor is it OBW and I would guess it won’t last when found out. Our DM is not happy about the changes due to losing her floor help but it is what is. I’m a 25+ year associate, I’ve seen lots of changes in years past but the last year or two have had more changes than any other year I can think of.

Pharmacies cannot function with one tech one pharmacist, but this is true. No cashiers. No sales associates. Must be certified tech going forward.

Maybe so, that’s not however the new program that’s going companywide.
They will rotate the technicians to the register. It’s started in some stores now.
Eventually, it will be one tech one pharmacist each shift.
They make more money having a cashier on than a tech we can type call doctor check in order all but fill the pill
If you don’t want to heed warning that’s okay. Someone else might want to know.
Don’t make it your life’s work to decide for everyone what is fake and what is not fake.
Ask your boss. They might be surprised you know.

I am posting because you are spreading the wrong information . Many people visit this page. I state facts not this fairy dust fiction. I can post and speak to any issue I decide to and I am passionate about this because I feel for our fellow associates. When I can I will set the record straight. Setting it straight here. Been with the company as long as you.... Very Long term here and actually part of the process. Think a few levels up. Post fact not fiction. Again why would you post such a thing. Sales assoc. are not going anywhere and they will continue to checkout customers as always in the Pharm. Hours have been increased or reduced depending upon sales. If a decrease was necessary the sales assoc. assigned to the Pharm were offered front end. Again .....all happened last year....Peace Out.

We have also have cashiers and they are coded sales associates too for OTC but they work in the rx as cashiers.
Most stores have cashiers in the pharmacy.

I Just explained that the rx was using sales associates for cashiers. Every store is different you would know that If you have been with the company as long as me.
OMG the only job codes that exists is for RX and Pharm. Why are you commenting on something you have no clue what you are talking about?

There has never been a job code for an rx cashier it was only coded under pharmacy sales associate. Any cashiers that are in rx will be gone at the end of April some stores already cut them. For those of you already cut disregard this msg simple!
The only people will be in the Rx is pharmacists and technicians.
