Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

More a wish list, than rumors

This whole Tipsy out thing, who's replacing him, etc. reads more like a wish list than an actual rumor. Trust me, I want him gone as much as the next guy, but there is absolutely nothing to corroborate the reports he is leaving.

This is just getting people's hope up for nothing.

I wish I was wrong on this, but really, it's just wishful thinking.

As a mutual company, the ceo's primary fiduciary responsibility is to satisfy the interests of the policyholders and Rust did well in this regard. Long term profit maximization applicable to stock companies like geico, progressive and allstate is not the driving business motive!

Why would anyone want Tipsord out? He is actively trying to fix Ed's failures? The real problem is Ed failed by letting management and top paygrade employees bully him around, saying "it's too hard to adapt to change, we want it to be 1979 again WAAAAAHHHH".

Well this is what I heard, and from a reliable source. Highly loved and respected Ed Rust Jr and Willie Brown showed up at this week’s board mtg. Ready to grapple with evil Tipsy, immediately after entering the room, both of these heroes ripped away their clothes to reveal wrestling onesies, ill-fitting and likely from their high school days on the mat. It took 17 physically challenged G4 guards and a small squad of armed mercenaries to put them down and escort them out. Don’t underestimate the spirit of Old State Farm!

I feel the same way, but this might lead to a vote of no confidence from the board for Tipsy.
