Before the holidays; like they do every year.
October???
Well it came and went.
What's the next guess??
Wireline management gets the "RIF" package. That could be anything from Zero$$ and best of luck up to whatever $$ amount the company wants to offer. It could have a time limit 30, 60 days etc. Sometimes you can get RIF'd and get hired back in another roll. Sometimes not. Sometimes you can get "saved" if another manager takes your spot, sometime not.
RIF details are specific to that specific RIF.
EISP, enhanced income separation plan. For certain wireline workers. Basically a severance package that the company has to offer under almost every circumstance before laying you off.
The company can offer it to a group of people, see who does and does not want it, and then confirm the offer and off payroll dates. It's a fairly well defined process.
If you work for Verizon you should have been planning to be let go for 3 years now, get your finances in line now.
naw ... August of 2019
12/25 Christmas is coming up.
well, since its already 3/18 I doubt it. maybe we can start a new rumor, haha. I'm sure someone will. but seriously I don't see one coming until right before contract if one comes at all. I sure hope so. I know I'm not doing them any favors and leaving without one.
What's EISP?
I don't think it's going to happen, but, if and when it does, I'm taking it.
Given the amount of worthless trolls on here, I doubt any of it is true.
No one really knows except the top brass and they will not say in advance.
Heaven forbid they might have a little consideration for their employees.
