Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Lots of men at Nike should be very nervous

One by one women could be ignored. But now Nike has publicly asked women to come forward and they will be held accountable to do something with the information they get.

Your house of cards is about to fall apart. Clearly it’s happening from the top down. If Trevor is really out for protecting the actions of his homies then they too will be pushed out. And all of us in Brand know who those men are.

This guy. Crass.

Hi. I’m a man. Should I just resign immediately simply because Mother Nature made me a man?

Or hate myself because I was born not a powerful woman?

Or it’s OK that we are all different?

And that you accept that there are both men and women who can overuse their power and Harass other people?

And you agree that one shouldn’t generalize?

After being an employee there for more than 20 years I am saddened, but not surprised about the dysfunctional leadership team. Over the years Nike was such an amazing place to work that fostered team work over self, but the culture had significantly changed over the last few years to a culture of Everyman for themselves that was unfortunately run by a good ole boys club that was more concerned about how cool they were than fostering a team environment. I loved my time there and in my wildest dreams never thought I would want to leave, but the culture is so off that it clearly wasn’t fun or rewarding anymore. I still love the brand and hope that they can get leadership in there that understands how important the culture is to this brands success.

We need more people to come forward and share their story. Nike ER is listening to their past employees who where pushed out by these men who felt so righteous in removing the diversity.

Don't be scared! Call, what can they do to you? Nothing.

Long term employee here....so very tired of the infantile, mean girls and mean boys clubs.

It makes you wonder what Nike could achieve if these people could be eliminated or have their energies focused on something productive.

This behavior is not only at Nike HQ and is not only men who believe they are superior. There are plenty of horrific female managers and directors at Converse. Their behavior is nothing less than middle school teenage girls. They bully and demoralize anyone they don’t like. The “leaders” who put these people in these positions should be held as accountable as the poor management teams they have created.

I know many of the long term employees and I mean 25 years plus have had enough. Lots of managers at Nike but few leaders around any more.

Many say they are retiring and they are from Nine but going to work for other companies. The culture has gone down hill. It use to be the enemy was Addidas and other companies but now the enemy is with in.

Ironically the building named after a great female athlete will have the most number of exposed weak men come Monday

I totally forgot about all of the unethical practices with stuff like hiring your husband or wife’s agency and over-paying them. That’s rampant!
