During the Dell - EMC merger, employees of Mozy were all told what great little company it was and how Mozy was going to be helpful in establishing a cloud presence for backing up...etc., etc.,. Everyone thought that they were in the clear after the merger as Mozy was making a profit and all seemed to be going status quo. Mozy was just sold to its arch nemesis Carbonite for about 150 million, give or take.. There were two meetings this past Wednesday. Employees were either "in-scope" or "out of scope" to move onto the new company. The inside sales staff for MozyPro is gone. Some developers are gone. Several others from different departments are gone. After 10 years, the Mozy name will shortly be gone.

Mozy was one of the successful acquisition of EMC. They have squeezed all the juice out of it. Now they have no option but to get the out of scope people out of the way.
